TAG Heuer’s next generation golfing smartwatch is here, this time bringing to life the aesthetics of their freshly launched Connected Calibre E4 collection. Alongside its new slender architecture, improved battery life and host of sports and wellness apps, the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition gives you everything you need for the green including a new automated shot-tracker, redesigned golf software and a magnetic ball marker built into the strap.
Since 2015, TAG Heuer has established itself as a world leader in luxury smartwatches. Their Connected collection became the world’s first Swiss made smartwatch and over the years, it has been developed to become more advanced than ever. In 2018, they designed their first TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition which extended on the brand’s well-established sporting heritage with some incredible golfing smartwatch technology including full-colour mapping and access to over 40,000 golf courses around the world. Then just two months ago, the Swiss watch manufacturer relaunched their Connected series, this time naming it the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4, which offered two case sizes of 42mm and 45mm, with slender proportions, better displays, improved battery life and new sports and wellbeing features. Now, following in the footsteps of these designs is the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition which like its predecessor is a must-have on the green and yet trumps it with a range of re-designed golfing tools.

At just a glance, it’s clear to see that the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition follows in the footsteps of its streamlined brothers. The slender and sporty 45mm case moulds effortlessly to the wrist and continues its stealthy legacy with a black DLC coated titanium case with sandblasted finishing. The crown at 3 o’clock is kept large for easy manipulation and flat sapphire crystal glass ensures legibility of the OLED high-resolution display beneath. On top, the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf watch also presents a black ceramic bezel detailed with an 18 scale. This is designed to be used as a score card with colour coded segments showing each hole so you can track whether you’re above, on or below par.
Securing the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition to the wrist is a luxurious white rubber strap detailing with a texture designed to mimic a golf ball. New to the strap is the buckle which now comes with a special magnetic ball marker. If you’re new to golf, a ball marker is used during putting to mark the position of a golf ball on the green. Usually, golfers have to carry one of these around separately, but with the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf smartwatch, that’s always taken care of. You simply pull the marker from the buckle and reattach it the same way. The watch also comes with an additional black perforated rubber strap which is easy interchangeable for a different look.
Like the original TAG Heuer Golf smartwatch, the new Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition is not short of golfing features. One of these is swing detection which automatically detects your swing and then tracks your performance in the app accessible on your smartphone. Working alongside this, the driving range feature offers a ‘heat map’ for every hole so you can see where shots landed on previous rounds. Over time, these features will build up data and give you the chance to reassess strategies and help you determine the best clubs and routes for each hole.

The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition watch also introduces a new 3D maps feature which allows you to create 3D videos of your shot and the trajectory of the ball which you can share with friends. Additionally, the classic 2D maps have been improved. You can now use the crown to move the map up and down for better viewing of the next hole and you can elect more information to be displayed on the display such as your club information, scores and hole number. As before, you’ll have access to over 40,000 golf courses around the world.
Also exclusive to the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition smartwatch is a new watch face. The handsome jet black backdrop is textured with dimples, like that of the strap, to mimic the texture of a golf ball and features the watch’s trademark green colour on the seconds hand and minutes track. You’ll have access to all the classic Connected watch faces as well like the iconic Carrera Skeleton and the newly launched Riverside face with its funky animated effect.
