Defined by organic shapes and interlocking embellishments, the Georg Jensen Offspring jewellery collection takes inspiration from human connection, delivering sterling silver and 18ct gold rings, bangles, necklaces and earrings undeniably Scandinavian in heritage and design.
Originally presented back in 2018, the Georg Jensen Offspring jewellery collection is now one of the Danish jewellery brand’s best-selling lines around the world. The earliest series was presented entirely in sterling silver and featured statement oval pendants, hoop earrings and sculptural bracelets inspired by powerful bonds between family members, such as between mother and child. The legendary designer behind the work is Jacqueline Rabun who has famously infused many of her designs with symbolism and emotion.

Jacqueline is an artist as well as a jeweller and she cleverly narrates stories of personal relationships within her designer jewellery collections. Another example of her work is that of the newly launched Georg Jensen Reflect collection which uses organically-shaped links to encourage the wearer to reflect their own bespoke beauty and personality. As for the Georg Jensen Offspring jewellery collection, classic shapes and expert craftsmanship fuse together to celebrate the power of love and the bonds between family, friends and loved ones. It is one of the many reasons why the series has become extremely popular for Mother’s Day, anniversaries or Valentine’s Day gifts.

The strong ties that are reflected in the Georg Jensen Offspring jewellery collection are symbolised by two interlocking shapes, often one smaller protected by the larger. This iconic image tells the story of an unbreakable bond and the power of love and interdependence. In particular, Rabun wanted to convey the relationship between a mother and a daughter and you can feel that clearly within the Georg Jensen Offspring necklaces which feature two irregularly shaped rings in sterling silver hanging delicately from a fine silver chain.
Recently, Georg Jensen also launched some new additions to its Offspring collection with several solid gold pieces. One of our favourites is the Georg Jensen Offspring Link necklace which features a selection of interlinked oval-shaped links graduating in size as they get closer to the forefront of your chest. The entire design is crafted from 18 carat gold. There are also examples of 18ct gold bracelets, rings, necklaces and earrings to match.
Another new release for the collection is the Georg Jensen Offspring charm bangle. A masterclass in Scandinavian style, this piece features a sterling silver bangle in the familiar oval shape detailed with a second organically-shaped hoop which hangs elegantly from the wrist like a charm. Like so many charm bracelets, Jacqueline Rabun wanted to create this particular piece especially for those that will pass down their jewellery to future generations, cultivating the very meaning of human connection that the Offspring collection celebrates.
