The New Breitling Avenger B01 42 Red Arrows Watch
In honour of the RAF Benevolent fund, the new Breitling Avenger B01 42 Red Arrows 60th Anniversary Edition watch is a true companion for pilots, aviation enthusiasts and Breitling fans alike. It draws from the insignia of the Red Arrows team with a blue dial and a black flange where the minutes can be referenced alongside subtle red markings depicting the five-minute intervals. Red is also seen in the tip of the second hand, represented in a distinctive arrow shape. The RAF Red Arrows emblematic crest can be seen at 9 o’clock against the deep blue tones of the dial – a monogram that was designed back in 1980. Balancing out the display is a legible date window, dressed against a white background at 3 o’clock. These details are all protected underneath a piece of anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass. Flip the watch over and you’ll see that the collaboration continues onto the caseback, where special markings celebrating 60 years of the Red Arrows can be admired.
Alongside this, the Breiling Avenger B01 42 Red Arrows watch boasts a COSC-certified movement nestled deep inside its 42mm stainless steel case. The automatic movement is the Calibre 17, which delivers an impressive 38-hour power reserve once fully wound. The New Breitling Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Red Arrows watch is a covetable and highly collectable timepiece that follows on from collaborative designs of the past. This watch sees the Maison equip the watch with a sleek black ceramic housing, measuring a confident 44mm diameter. It delivers chronograph superiority by the bucket load, with a stealthy trio of black-filled chronograph counters, set against a deep blue backdrop. The titanium hardware on the watch adds a stylish contrast to the design. These elements can be seen in the crown and the push-pieces that activate and deactivate the stopwatch functions. Contrast is also found in the sharp red elements of the design, which can be seen in the black minute scale around the periphery of the display. More red can also be seen in the sub-counter at 3 o’clock where the 30 minutes can be measured. Across the opposite side of the dial is a nod to the Red Arrows team with the emblematic “Diamond 9” showing proudly inside a 9 o’clock counter. The sub-dial at 6 o’clock is where the 12-hour totaliser can be seen, accompanied by a date window.
Inside the new Breitling Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Red Arrows watch is the Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01. An in-house movement that provides an astonishing 70-hour power reserve. The weekend-friendly power reserve means that you can take the watch off on a Friday night and return to it first thing on a Monday morning to find it has kept perfect time. The movement also has COSC certification and presents its decorative finishes and its peerless performance through an exhibition window crafted from sapphire crystal glass. The caseback also features the inscription “Royal Air Force” and the “Red Arrows” lettering upon its surface.
