Imagined by American designer Jacqueline Rabun, the new Georg Jensen Reflect jewellery collection delivers a fresh take on the classic chain design, capturing London’s 90’s subculture with Georg Jensen’s contemporary prowess for sterling silver.
The chain necklace has long been classic in the jewellery world. Worn by both men and women, these staple pieces are so easily adaptable to any occasion, becoming elegantly simple when worn alone or stacked along other designs for a statement look. Georg Jensen has taken this modest icon and transformed it for the modern world bringing together a stunning selection of chain necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings with American designer Jacqueline Rabun.
Who is Jacqueline Rabun?
After growing up in North California, Jacqueline Rabun moved to London in 1989 beginning her journey in the world of contemporary jewellery. Her debut collection launched just a year later and was shortly showcased on the front of British Vogue in 1992. Then in 1999, Rabun began her collaboration with Georg Jensen who she has subsequently worked with on several collections including the famous Georg Jensen Offspring line, a collection of fine sterling silver piece inspired by the relationship between mother and child, and the Georg Jensen Cave collection which encourages its wearer to seek tranquillity, stillness and contemplation. Continuing to instil her emotional, physical and spiritual feelings into her jewellery, Jacqueline Rabun now proudly launches her next collection: the Georg Jensen Reflect.
The Georg Jensen Reflect Jewellery Collection
The Georg Jensen Reflect jewellery collection debuted just this week and was exhibited in a series of photographs featuring Prince Felix of Denmark and model Fiona Reventlow-Grinling. As its name suggests, the line has been designed for people that want to express their individuality, for people who wish to convey their own bespoke beauty and personality through contemporary jewellery designs. The new line does exactly that with organic shapes and raw sterling silver links coming together to create each piece.
The Georg Jensen Reflect necklaces truly revive the classic chain necklace with tear drop-shaped links seamlessly connecting together and fastening by an almost invisible lobster clasp. The Reflect bracelets follow suit with the same chain of links wrapping around the wrist while the Georg Jensen Reflect rings opt for pure simplicity with two organically-shaped links meeting in the middle of your finger. The Rings are available in a variety of sizes and widths, making them perfect for stacking for a statement look. We particularly love the Georg Jensen Reflect earrings. Taking the same familiar chain aesthetic, the drop earrings hang gracefully from the lobe with four organic sterling silver links ending with a tear drop pendant. Free-flowing in form, they are undeniably the sculptural design language of Georg Jensen.
