The story of Fabergé began in 1882 when Peter Carl Fabergé took over his father's ordinary jewellery business and transformed it into an internationally renowned household name. This responsible sourcing allows Fabergé to help apply industry-leading policies and practices across operations such as transparency in the auction sales procedure and an active role in working groups to modernise the coloured gemstone sector. It also funds projects to improve health, education and livelihoods for the communities around the mines and conservation efforts to protect Africa’s great wildlife and biodiversity.
