The world-renowned Italian jewellery brand Damiani is legendary for their brilliant, beautiful and bold diamond jewellery designs. Their collections exceed all expectations of fine jewellery manufacture, whether it’s an elegant diamond ring from the Belle Epoque line, a diamond necklace from their Eden family or a Damiani bracelet from the Mimosa collection. If you’re shopping for Damiani jewellery for yourself, but you’d first like to learn a little more about the brand, you’ve come to the right place…
A Brief History of Damiani Jewellery
Damiani was founded in 1924 in the goldsmith district of Valenza Po in Italy by master goldsmith Enrico Damiani. Already renowned as a creative and ingenious jeweller, Enrico only increased his reputation for fine jewellery manufacture when he launched his first collection of Damiani jewellery. In 1934, Enrico’s son Damiano was born who would later play a pivotal role in the growth of the business helping the Damiani jewellery business grow in notoriety. The Italian jewellery brand is now in its third generation, ran by Silvia Damiani and her brother Giorgio. In 2007, Damiani was listed as one of the most prestigious Made in Italy companies and was listed on the Milan Stock Exchange.
“The history of Damiani jewelry is that of an Italian family strongly tied to tradition and passion for goldsmith art. Our family has designed and produced precious and unique jewelry for three generations. From our early childhoods, we watched jewelry being created and the crafting of diamonds and precious stones, learning to love a profession and its secrets even before we started to work in the company. The tradition expressed in all our jewelry represents a unique heritage made of passion and attention to detail, a heritage we are proud of and want to pass on to our children. We share this philosophy that inspires our creations, still handmade in Italy, one by one”. -Guido Damiani
The Damiani Jewellery Collections
There is no shortage of breathtaking diamond jewellery designs to choose from in the Damiani jewellery collections. The Damiani Belle Epoque line is one of our personal favourites, taking inspiration from the 1920’s and the Art Deco movement with baguette cut diamonds and coloured gemstones like rubies, emeralds and sapphires adorning each solid gold piece. The designs are crafted to replicate film strips to make you, the wearer, feel as glamourous as the actors, writers and directors that inspire them. Meanwhile, the Damiani Eden jewellery collection takes its name from the story of Adam and Eve, tempting us with enchanting snake motifs that wrap elegantly and seductively around the body.
A Damiani jewellery collection that tells a story of the fine jewellery brand’s history, the Damiani Margherita line revives a flower which was originally created by Enrico Damiani for Queen Margherita, the Queen of Italy during the 1900’s. The elegant daisy is dressed in white or brown diamonds and paired with elegant gemstones like amethyst and citrine for a pop of colour. The Damiani Mimosa jewellery collection is yet another explosion of diamonds, but this time literally, bursting with sparkle thanks to their pave decoration. Lastly, the Damiani Minou series boasts a range of classic diamond rings and pendant perfect for wearing all day, every day.
