A Brief History of Astley Clarke
Despite being recognised as an international name, Astley Clarke was surprisingly only founded in 2006 in London by Bec Astley Clarke. Bec originally graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an MA in politics and philosophy and then shortly after began working for several luxury brands. Her experience made her realise the lack of wearable and accessible fine jewellery for women and the need for women to realise that they can buy diamond jewellery for themselves, that it shouldn’t have to be gifted. So, in 2006, the Astley Clarke jewellery brand was created and by 2009, the first Astley Clarke diamond jewellery creations were born.
From the very beginning, Astley Clarke jewellery has been completely designed and crafted in-house in their London Studio, using only noble metals, coloured gemstones and diamonds. The necklaces, rings, bracelets and earrings are designed to be worn every day and layered for a relaxed luxury feel. Over the years, Astley Clarke has accumulated several awards including Retail Jeweller's ‘Jewellery Website of the Year’ and Walpole's ‘Best Luxury Brand Online’ award. The British brand’s reputation has also made it overseas with big name celebrities like Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding, Cara Delevingne and Kate Middleton spotted wearing their own pieces of Astley Clarke jewellery.
