Coronation Hallmark Bangles
Our exclusive Coronation jewellery collection here at C W Sellors celebrates an iconic moment in history. A new commemorative hallmark has been approved by the British Hallmarking Council and the four UK Assay Offices, and has been etched into the surface of each piece of fine jewellery from the series. Validating and authenticating the purity of each design across a range of rings, pendants and bracelets, the Coronation jewellery collection honours our proud British heritage in creating distinctive jewellery designs that tie in with our innate passion for genuine quality craftsmanship.
The identification of precious metals in a piece of jewellery has been an integral part of fine British jewellery craftsmanship since the 1300s, when it originated at Goldsmiths Hall in London and has evolved vastly since then. Yet the importance surrounding the protection of the consumer remains paramount. Each handmade piece of fine jewellery made in-house at C W Sellors by our skilled team of goldsmiths and craftsmen is sent to one of four Assay Offices in the UK to be authenticated and stamped with a symbol that is unique to each office; the anchor for Birmingham, the castle for Edinburgh, the leopard’s head for London and the Sheffield rose.
When it comes to an extraordinary occasion in British history, C W Sellors likes to mark it with a special line of jewellery designs. Our Coronation collection faithfully follows the exquisite designs seen in our elegant Hallmark collection that features an array of exquisite pieces bearing the Platinum Jubilee Hallmark to recognise 75 years of service of the late Queen Elizabeth II. In that same vein, our exclusive Coronation Hallmark jewellery collection features a range of equally beautiful pendants, rings and bracelets that have been crafted using traditions such as hand-hammering and hand-polishing techniques, nodding to the origins of our family-run business. Every piece of jewellery from our Coronation Hallmark collection is stamped with a new commemorative hallmark approved by the British Hallmarking Council and the four UK Assay Offices. The hallmark denotes the transition into a new reign, celebrating the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, whilst signifying values of excellence, origin and approval.
