For the third year running, Oris are partnering up with the Movember Foundation for the release of the Oris Chronoris Movember 2019 watch. This stunning timepiece forms a trio of magnificent models that have helped raise awareness for men’s physical and mental health. Last year we saw the Movember 2018 in the form of the brand’s iconic Big Crown and the original Oris Movember was based on the Divers Sixty-Five. This year, the Swiss watch manufacturer has chosen their stunning Chronoris collection as the stage for the Oris Movember 2019 watch.
Since it was founded in 2003, the Movember Foundation has been encouraging both men and women to take part in a variety of events to help raise money and support over 1,200 health projects worldwide. From growing a moustache to taking part in a 60km run for the 60 men lost to suicide each hour across the world, the Movember Foundation hosts an incredible range of events to raise money and awareness for issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Oris are doing their part this year by contributing a percentage of the sales from the Oris Chronoris Movember 2019 Edition watch to the charity.

The Oris Movember 2019 watch takes after one of the brand’s most iconic designs, the Oris Chronoris, which is inspired by the experimental era of the 1970’s when Oris invented their very first range of chronographs. This Oris Chronoris Movember watch brings to life the sporty and retro history of the Swiss watch manufacturer while also being inclusive of some stunning Movember inspired detailing including a closed case back engraved with Movember and two moustaches imprinted on the vintage brown leather strap.
Just like every Chronoris, the Oris Movember 2019 Edition watch boasts a streamlined case crafted from stainless steel with this one measuring to 39mm in size, an ideal case size for both men and women who are ready to support the charity. The case is also equipped with a screw in crown and screw down case back to help assist in the 100 metre water resistance. The vintage black dial showcases stunning rose gold plated hour and minute hands to reflect the Foundation’s colour palette, a sporty orange seconds hand and dial text and minutes track in a stunning gold hue. This combination of colours brings to life the warm and vintage aesthetic of the Chronoris collection.
For optimal legibility in low lighting, the hands and indices on the dial are coated in Swiss Superluminova while the scratch resistance sapphire crystal glass housed above it is treated in an anti-reflective coating. Hidden beneath the dial is the Oris 733 automatic winding movement, arguably the brand’s most well-known calibre based on the SW200-1. The Swiss made mechanical movement provides centre hands for hours, minute and seconds, a date window at 3 o clock and a power reserve of 38 hours.
The Oris Chronoris Movember 2019 Edition watch is limited to only 1,000 pieces and is available on two strap options: a stunning vintage brown leather strap embossed with the Movember moustache and a steel pin buckle or a fine linked stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp. Both variations also come with an additional red striped NATO strap. This release has become one of our yearly favourites and with it assisting in such a great cause, there is no reason why this limited edition won’t sell out like the others.
