Arriving just in time to be placed on all our Christmas lists, Breitling have announced their first range of Chronomat Ladies watches! Available in 32mm and 36mm, these stunning luxury timepieces are dedicated to the women of today, women of confidence and stature who require only the very best in terms of performance, precision, and of course, beauty.
Breitling have demonstrated a real focus on their ladies’ collections this year, with the gorgeous Navitimer 35 launched just several months ago and the Superocean 36 just before that. All of these designs, the Chronomat Ladies included, offer women something for every environment. The Superocean 36 is perfect for beach days and ocean adventures while the Navitimer 35 is the dream dress watch with a high precision automatic movement. The new Breitling Chronomat Ladies 32 and 36 collection seems to sit nicely between the two, providing a sporty yet chic aesthetic that can go high above the clouds, below the ocean waves or stay comfortably on land.
As part of the brand’s iconic Chronomat collection, the Breitling Chronomat Ladies remains inspired by the original Chronomat of the 1980’s. It features the legendary and comfortable “Rouleaux” bracelet which for us, completely transforms the piece from just another modern ladies watch to a vintage-inspired piece. The rifle-shell style links are bound together by polished inner links that blend seamlessly through the case and lugs – so much so that you’d be forgiven for thinking the bracelet was integrated.
There are a huge range of Breitling Chronomat Ladies 32 and 36 watches to choose from, each with their own distinctive character personified through a choice of diamond set bezels and indices, accents of 18 carat rose gold and breathtaking coloured dials. Choices of dial colours include silver, blue, copper and mint green. Both sizes come equipped with COSC-certified chronometer movements, one automatic and the other quartz, and 100 metre water resistant cases. We also get scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass treated with an anti-reflective coating to house the classic central hands for hours, minutes and seconds and date window at 6 o’clock.
For women that enjoy slightly larger wristwear, the Breitling Chronomat Ladies 36 is the one for you. Measuring to 36mm in size and available in stainless steel, two toned steel and 18 carat rose gold or full 18 carat rose gold, these models house the Breitling Calibre 10, an automatic winding movement based on the ETA 2892-A2 with a 42 hour power reserve. One of our all-time favourites within this collection is Breitling Chronomat Ladies 36 (A10380591L1A1) with its beautiful mint green dial, diamond decorated bezel and diamond dot indexes. Another popular choice is the Chronomat Ladies 36 (U10380591K1U1) which again goes all out on the diamonds but features a two-toned steel and rose gold case and bracelet and a breathtaking copper coloured dial.
Coming in slightly smaller at 32mm, the Breitling Chronomat Ladies 32 is the more classic ladies size out of the two, providing a subtle yet sophisticated finish on the wrist. It boasts the brand’s legendary Breitling SuperQuartz Calibre 77 which promises a precision ten times more accurate than a standard quartz watch and a battery life of 3 to 4 years. Again, we are spoiled with a choice of stainless steel, two toned and 18 carat rose gold cases to choose from with dials in silver and blue. We absolutely adore the Breitling Chronomat 32 (A77310101C1A1) for its nautical blue dial and clean lines. This is a fantastic choice for women looking for a more classic, sporty look with no distraction of diamonds. For women craving that extra touch of sparkle, there is still plenty of diamond options available in the Chronomat 32.
