Characterized by its distinctive blend of purple, blue and yellow bands, Blue John is one of the rarest semi-precious stones in the world and is sourced just moments away from the C W Sellors workshops found in the hillside of Castleton in Hope Valley, Derbyshire.
We are proud to say we have been designing and handcrafting exquisite collections of Blue John jewellery for over 30 years now, sourcing the raw gemstone from Treak Cliff Cavern before cutting, polishing and setting it into sterling silver and gold. Our award-winning collections are made within our own Derbyshire-based workshops where our team of skilled lapidarists transform each piece of naturally formed Blue John gemstone into stunning pieces of jewellery. Designed by our talented in-house jewellery designer and daughter of C W Sellors’ founder, Rebecca Sellors, this Sterling Silver Blue John Lineaire Long Bracelet is the perfect example of minimalistic modernism. It instantly captures your attention for its clean fluid lines and for the long hand cut piece of Derbyshire Blue John at the centre. The purple and blue stone is then framed in sterling silver and fastened to the wrist by a classic sterling silver chain. For easy wear and adjustment, the chain is equipped with a slider style fastener.
9ct Yellow Gold Blue John Small Cross Heart Drop Earrings
One of our best-selling families, the Cross Heart jewellery collection takes inspiration from our local heritage and bring to life romantic notions with colourful heart motifs crafted from precious gemstones. These Blue John Small Cross Heart Drop Earrings are one of several breathtaking designs which feature hard carved, heart-shaped cabochon Blue John at the centre. 9ct Yellow Gold Blue John Flore Filigree Single Row Necklace

Found within our Flore collection, the Blue John Flore Filigree Single Row Necklace is handcrafted almost entirely out of 9ct yellow gold and features signature Flore filigree pendants around its circumference. Punctuated between the gold filigree accents is a selection of highly polished Blue John cabochons which, with their purple and blue hues, contrasts beautifully against the gold.
