Doxa Sub 300T Aquamarine Watch Review

Jewellery & Watch News

One of our bestselling limited edition Doxa watches is this stunning Doxa Sub 300T Aquamarine with its breathtaking ocean inspired dial and highly machined unidirectional bezel with diving functionality. Despite not having even been released by the brand yet, with an expected release date of 1st November, we thought it was time to delve a little deeper into the timepiece and its remarkable specifications that make it perfectly suited for exploring the depths of our oceans.

Doxa was first founded in in 1889 in Le Locle, Switzerland and quickly established a name for itself thanks to the incredible innovations and exceptional workmanship displayed in each Doxa watch. It was in 1967 when Doxa watches truly found their strength with the release of the Doxa Sub watch collection. This unbelievable range of diving watches introduced radical innovations to the diving world that still remain the benchmark for professional and military divers today. These innovations included the brand’s famous helium escape valve that ensured dive safety of only the highest quality.

Previously, helium escape valve technology had not been seen in a general public divers watch before, but Doxa made this impressive innovation accessible to everyone with the Sub 300T Conquistador.  No matter whether you are an amateur or professional diver, it is essential to know exactly how much oxygen and time you have left underwater before requiring a decompression stop on the way back to the surface. Rather than just fitting their Doxa Sub watches with a standard unidirectional bezel, the brand goes one step further and includes a US Navy’s no-decompression limit table to its outskirts. The dual indication of dive time in minutes and depth in meters work together to reliably calculate and monitor dive times for the safety of its wearer.

The Doxa Sub 300T Aquamarine watch pays tribute to the original Sub 300T Conquistador with the same technical refinements and aesthetics that continue to define it as a modern day high performance diving watch. Its incredible patented unidirectional bezel boasts an integrated no-decompression dive time calculator that measures to a statement 42.5mm in size. The bezel is fitted to a high quality 316L stainless steel case and scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating. Thanks to the screw in crown and screw down solid stainless steel case back, the Doxa Sub 300T Aquamarine Limited Edition also promises a noteworthy water resistance of 1,200 metres, a rating that means even the bravest of divers will be satisfied with.

Alongside the fantastic dive technology that comes with the Doxa Sub 300T Aquamarine watch, our favourite component to its design is its breathtaking turquoise blue dial. The dial is completely unmissable on the wrist both in the day and at night thanks to the Superluminova luminescent inserts found on the indices and large hour and minute hands. The face is also decorated with a handy date window at 3 o clock powered by the ETA 2824-2 automatic winding movement. The Swiss made calibre has 25 jewels and promises a frequency of 28,800vph and a power reserve of 42 hours.

The Doxa Sub 300T Aquamarine watch is expected to be released on 1st November and retails at £1,820. If you would like to pre-order your own, head over to the C W Sellors website here.
